What’s Going on with $VKNG?
October 30th, 2009 at 12:43 pm Posted by The DeanIf you haven’t noticed it already, The Dean wants the CollegeStock Community to take a look at Viking Systems (OTC: VKNG).
$VKNG develops, manufacturers and markets visualization solutions for minimally invasive surgery.
This stock is up more than 120% today and more than 1500% since yesterday morning.
Aside from financial data released at the end of August, $VKNG has had virtually no news whatsoever but has traded nearly 3 million shares so far today.
$VKNG’s key products are the 3Di Vistion System and the 2Di endoscopic vision platform. The company’s 10-Q from August 2009 suggests that the company’s increase in sales during 2009 was due to increased revenues from the 3Di and OEM products and services.
$VKNG also mentions in their report that the company experienced increased demand and sales of high definition cameras and their proprietary visualization systems designed for and distributed by Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX). Could this be the reason for the movement?
The Dean has spent hours today trying to find out about what’s going on with $VKNG, including making a phone call to The Investor Relations Company in New York who apparently no longer represents $VKNG.
Yahoo! Message Boards speculate that something could be in the works with Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) and one of $VKNG’s imaging technologies.
The Dean also made a phone call to $VKNG’s corporate headquarters and was unable to find further information about new investor relations representation or what’s going on with their stock.
The Dean has done his homework and found that $VKNG has a large product portfolio with various patented technologies. Clearly, any business developments with a multibillion dollar medical technologies company like Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) would be tremendous.
Although The Dean would obviously like to know more information about what’s going on with $VKNG, he can only continue watching for news and plans to keep the CollegeStock Community updated.

Keep me in the loop Dean i’ve been wondering about VKNG myself.
