ESPI Management Team Is On The Dean's List

During the first television episode of ‘Wide World of Stocks’ that will begin airing this week on NBC, I said that “one of the first things I teach my students in penny stock school is that the smart money invests in the people behind the company.

Specifically, I try to gauge each management team by their unique skill sets and whether or not their skills are valuable to their company’s vision. For instance, whenever I see lawyers or MBAs trying to build a science or technology company I usually run for the door. On the other hand, when I see a management team consisting of scientists with a proven track record it holds a lot more credibility.

After doing a background check on the management team at ESPI I am more confident than ever that this is a textbook example of investing in the right people-

Chris Metcalf, CEO
Mr. Metcalf brings with him venture capital experience in advanced oil and gas discovery technologies, including 3D seismic interpretive software and new surface geochemical survey technologies.

David Dugas, President

Mr. Dugas has 30 years of professional engineering experience in the areas of production, drilling and reservoir exploitation along with oil/gas property and acquisition evaluations, operations management and completion design with Chevron and Texas Pacific Oil and Gas. Mr. Dugas was a founding member and co-owner of the company that became Ocean Energy, a NYSE listed company with a multi-billion dollar market capitalization.

Tony Primeaux, President

Mr. Primeaux has 32 years of professional experience in the value-added specialty chemical market. He has expertise in advanced interpretation and application petrochemical technologies having designed programs to achieve maximum effectiveness in some of themost hostile environments in the operating world of oil production.

William Cox, Director

Mr. Cox is an executive with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry having served in various capacities as a geologist and asset manager. He currently serves as the Exploration Manager for Stone Energy Corporation; a NYSE listed substantial Oil and Gas reserves in the offshore and deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

J. Scott Tyson, Director
Mr. Tyson is the President and CEO of Trius Energy LLC, a privately held independent oil and gas producer that has a major presence as a re-entry specialist in the West Gomez Field in Pecos County, Texas. Trius oil and gas leases represent estimated reserves of 161 BFC of gas and 3.6 million barrels of oil, worth roughly $1.8 billion at current market prices.

These are without a doubt the exact types of leaders that I want to have on my Dean’s List. Any qualified venture capitalist will tell you that investing is all about the people, and ESPI has gathered a team that will significantly improve their chances of getting their specialty chemicals to become the industry standard.

Happy Trading, The Dean
