The Dean’s CTHP Is A Bright Spot In The Fight Against Cancer

Dear Students
When it comes to treating cancer, modern medicine is still in its infancy. Most treatments rely on debilitating chemotherapy regiments which take a shotgun approach to curing cancer by essentially poisoning patients in an effort to eradicate tumors.

In fact, the American Cancer Society estimates that over 550,000 people will die in 2009 due to some form of cancer and that the lifetime risk of developing cancer is 1 in 2 for men and 1 in 3 for women.

Nanotechnology-based drug delivery platforms like the ones being developed by CTHP represent a very bright spot in the fight against cancer.

At less than 200 nanometers, the company’s calcium phosphate NanoJacketsā„¢ passively target weaker-walled cancer cells and help localize treatment, increasing its effectiveness while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.

CTHP is developing smarter cancer therapeutics based on the latest developments in nanotechnology.

Whether or not the company will successfully license their NanoJacketsā„¢ to major industry leaders like CTIC, DNDN and AGEN remains to be seen. But regardless, I expect CTHP to be one of the hottest summer plays as biotech stocks continue to soar.

Happy Trading, The Dean
