$BSTK: Redefining Less Than Lethal

Dear Students

brite_strike_logo3In various lessons over the past several months, The Dean has taught the entire student body that there’s quite a distinction between $BSTK‘s unique tactical illumination products and supposed “less than lethal” weapons.

In particular, The Dean believes the company has great potential to receive attention and additional interest because of products like the Flexaton BIL (Baton Integrated Light), which is made from ” a revolutionary semi-rigid thermo plastic”

$BSTK‘s website tells us that this unique product, which will be available in May 2010, “can deliver effective nerve and muscular shock in a baton strike but with the benefit that it is less likely to deliver lethal strikes against [the user] if taken away.”

Additionally, the Flexaton BIL is equipped with $BSTK‘s patented “Tactical Touch” switch, which allows users to adjust the 170 lumens of light from low to hi to strobe with the push of a button. Since this product acts as both a less than lethal weapon and a flashlight, it allows one of the user’s hands to be free.

The Flexaton BIL can also “can be immediately snapped out so the expandable baton can be used to defend or ward off a blow from the subject. If an escalation of force is required, the Baton Integrated Light can be used to deliver an effective strike.”

The Dean’s tremendously excited about the release of $BSTK‘s Flexaton BIL, especially after doing his homework on other batons in the market.

Two popular websites for law enforcement products and supposed “less than lethal” weapons are CopsPlus.com and SelfDefenseProducts.com.

The Casco TSH-24 Thermoplastic Side-Handle Baton could be considered a direct competitor for $BSTK‘s Flexton BIL. But, if you take a look at the product description of the Casco product, you’ll find that it lists “Best Performance in Moderate Climates” as one of its features.

The Dean thinks that many people would assume that a “moderate climate” means on the colder side of the temperature spectrum, therefore The Dean believes this product is intended to become firmer, or harder, due to changes in temperature—with harder being the desired quality of this product.

Another product, the J&L Side Handle Baton is made from “hard plastic.” Furthermore, this product lacks the expandable feature of the Flexaton BIL and is certainly not a flashlight.

CopsPlus.com also features the Monadnock PR-24STS. This baton is made from polycarbonate, which is a type of light-weight, high-performance plastic. However, if you take a look at the product description, you’ll notice that the baton is not retractable, shorter than $BSTK‘s Flexaton BIL, and, like dozens of batons out there, is not a flashlight.

For instance, the Monadnock PR-24XTS is polycarbonate and expandable but not a flashlight.

The Flexaton BIL is just one of more than a dozen products that combines innovation and real-life experience to help $BSTK redefine less than lethal.

Happy Trading, The Dean
