Dear Students

$AVSC released news this morning that the company will begin offering a full line of hardware and related services through a reseller relationship with Arrow Electronics, Inc.

The Dean thinks this will excite people about the $AVSC because Arrow Electronics, Inc. provides services to 800 brand name suppliers like CISCO, EMC. NetApp, IBM, Sun, HP, Oracle and a whole lot more.

The Dean thinks Arrow Electronics, Inc. is a good move for $AVSC because it’s a Fortune 200 company with nearly 13,000 employees in 340 locations in 53 countries that are now ready so sling $AVSC‘s entire product line.

The Dean believes this gives $AVSC an edge in the global software market because they can now offer their 2,500 international customers competitive pricing.

$AVSC President David Murray said that this agreement will allow their customers to buy “all of the essential ingredients for a comprehensive data management program from one vendor [$AVSC] at the best possible price.”

The Dean thinks this makes $AVSC more appealing to customers and potential customers because $AVSC is becoming a one-stop-shop for computer technology with a global reach.

The Dean wants to remind all of his students that $AVSC has more than OpenViz in their corner—they also have AVS/PowerViz, AVS/Express, Gsharp and Toolmaster on their product roster.

Despite the economy and an apparent lack of consumer confidence, the computer software market grew 6.5% in 2008 and is expected to increase more than 50% to a $457 billion market in the next few years. The Dean believes the technology and computer software development markets will continue to grow because people and companies NEED technology.

Sources such as Forrester Research, a technology and market research company, suggests that 800 of the world’s largest companies used corporate dashboard technology like $AVSC‘s OpenViz analytics and research program. In addition, The Dean thinks that companies like, Boeing, Microsoft, Oracle, Chevron, Pfizer, Raytheon and hundreds more, that make up $AVSC‘s customer list aren’t going anywhere.

And now that $AVSC can offer their products through Arrow Electronics, Inc. in a more cost-effective solutions, The Dean believes $AVSC could see some profits.
